Brief Details of the Project:
CV Engineering provided Engineering and Project Management services to Heartland Steel for the development of a new Cold Rolling Complex consisting of a 1,200,000 T/Yr. continuous Pickle Line, 350,000 T/Yr. hot dip Galvanizing Line, 900,000 T/Yr. two stand Reversing Cold Mill, 600,000 T/Yr. single stand Temper Mill, 308,160 T/Yr Batch Annealing Line and a Coil Slitting Line, with auxiliary support facilities like Boiler House, Compressor House, Emergency Power Generators, Nitrogen and Hydrogen Plants, Natural Gas Receiving Station, Propane Tank Station, Locker Building, Administrative Building, Engineering Building, Truck Scale, Roads, Railroads, Parking Lots and Storm Drainage and Detention Pond. The facility is developed on a 200-acre green-field site at Terre Haute, Indiana.
Our scope of work for this 200-acre green-field site consisted of:
  • Road and Railroads Foundations
  • Building Foundations
  • Equipment Foundations
  • Potable Water System
  • Water Treatment Plant
  • Sanitary Sewers
  • Storm Sewers and Detention Ponds
  • Communication/Telephone
  • Electrical Substation and Power Distribution
